A Little About Dan
Dan Cooper is an authority on the birds of the Los Angeles area. He's the author of Important Bird Areas of California (2004), has compiled annotated checklists for the Ballona Wetlands and Malibu Lagoon, and wrote the "Birds of the Season" column for the L.A. Audubon Society newsletter for several years. Dan has led birding trips around southern California for a wide variety of clients for more than 20 years, including large group outings and multi-day, one-on-one tours. He's a native of the Pasadena area and holds degrees from the University of California, Riverside and Harvard University.
